Columbus Editorial Society Event (CES) | Columbus Ohio Senior Photographer
Back in October I went to my first Columbus Editorial Society event. I had been a member since July but hadn't gone to any of the many events they have each month. I'm an introvert and tend to shy away from group activities, but that is something I want to change in 2018! I'm so glad that one of the founders reached out to me asking if I wanted to attend their 24k Magic event. I'm also glad I decided to step out of my introvert comfort zone and go! The event was AMAZING!
The models were welcoming and very professional. They are definitely people who are passionate about their careers and are working very hard to build their portfolios in order to reach their goals. I can't wait to work with them again!
Now for the other photographers in the group...where do I start? Have you ever met photographers who are only focused on their work and not willing to help the next person trying to learn and grow? Well you won't meet them here. The photographers are EXTREMELY helpful and willing to share what they know with others. Being a natural light photographer, I know very little about studio lighting. I was able to take a few shots using my off camera flash equipment that I barely touch, with the help of another photographer (Thanks Tiffany)!
If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area & want to be a part of this amazing society you can find more information by visiting their website, Columbus Editorial Society. FYI: You don't have to be from the Columbus area, there are members from all over Ohio and the surrounding areas. You can also attend events and rent the photography studio without being a member as well.
Most of the photos were shot using a continuous ring light which I LOVE! I hope to offer studio sessions for my senior clients next year!
So here are a few images from this event.
